The resort and the setting
Wet Republic Ultra Pool is at MGM Grand on the south Strip, in its own fenced compound beside the resort's main Grand Pool complex, with an entrance reached through the casino near the pool corridor. It is a roughly 54,000-square-foot deck built around two large saltwater pools, a set of smaller dipping pools, a raised DJ stage at one end and rows of daybeds, cabanas and party bungalows down the sides. It is operated by Tao Group Hospitality, which also runs Hakkasan nightclub inside MGM Grand and TAO Beach at The Venetian, so the DJ roster and booking system are shared.
MGM Grand guests do not get automatic access; Wet Republic is ticketed and separate from the resort pools, lazy river and the Grand Pool. The resort is huge, so allow a good ten minutes from the elevators to the gate. Our MGM Grand destination guide covers the rest of the property.
Vibe and crowd
Wet Republic is the party-first dayclub. Where Encore Beach Club is polished and see-and-be-seen, Wet Republic is loud, packed and unpretentious: bachelor and bachelorette groups, birthday crews and people who came to Las Vegas specifically to lose an afternoon in a pool with a drink in each hand. The main pool is a wall of people by 2 pm on weekends. The energy is high, the drink prices are high and the average age hovers in the mid-twenties on Saturdays and drifts a little older on weekdays.
If that is what you want, nothing on the Strip does it more reliably. If you want a quieter pool party, Wet Republic on a Thursday is a decent middle ground, and Daylight down the road is a calmer alternative.
Music
Big-room EDM and mainstream dance headliners dominate, drawn from the same roster that plays Hakkasan and Omnia, with hip-hop and open-format DJs filling weekdays and some Sundays. Sets run from opening with a resident, with the headliner usually on around 2 or 3 pm. The schedule is on the Tao Group and Wet Republic sites weeks ahead; check it before choosing a day, because a headliner Saturday and a resident Thursday are different prices and different crowds.
Typical cover, tables and cabanas
As of 2026, and check the official site: general admission is typically $30 to $80-plus for men and often $20 to $50 for women, with headliner weekends at the top of the range. Guest lists can get you in free or reduced before a cutoff time on non-headliner days; the guest-list system is the same as the nightclubs, explained in our nightclub tickets and guest lists guide. Daybeds run from a few hundred dollars midweek to $1,000 to $2,000 minimum on weekends; cabanas from roughly $2,000 to $5,000-plus; bungalows and the pool-side party spaces more. Add tax, a service charge of about 20 percent and a tip on top of any minimum.
Wet Republic prices tend to sit a notch below Encore Beach Club for a similar tier, and packages for groups of six or more are commonly offered through hosts.
Dress code and age
21 and over with a valid government photo ID. Swimwear and resort casual: men in trunks or tailored shorts and a shirt to enter, women in swimwear with a cover-up. No jerseys, no baggy or below-the-knee shorts, no cut-offs, no bare feet. Bags are searched at the door; no outside food, drink, glass or large cameras. Security here is used to rowdy groups and is efficient rather than fussy, but an obviously intoxicated arrival will be refused.
Best days and timing
Hours are roughly 11 am to 6 pm on operating days in pool season, which runs from about March to October. Saturday is the peak day; Friday and Sunday are close behind. Thursday is the most comfortable day for a lively crowd without the crush. Arrive by 11:30 am on weekends: the line for general admission can reach an hour by early afternoon, and the compound reaches capacity on some headliner days, at which point ticket holders wait for one-out-one-in. Table guests use a separate line. In July and August the deck is punishing; a daybed with an umbrella or a cabana is genuinely a safety measure, not a luxury.
How to book
Tickets, daybeds and cabanas are sold on the Wet Republic and Tao Group websites; booking a table brings a host contact who confirms the minimum and guest count. Guest lists are handled by the venue and by promoters, and are free for the customer, so never pay a third party for a guest-list spot. MGM Grand guests can also book through the concierge. Confirm the total with tax and service charge before you commit; the number on the reservation page is rarely the number on the card.
Insider tips and what to avoid
- Book a room away from the pool side at MGM Grand or Signature if you want quiet afternoons.
- Hydrate before you go. The bar sells water, but the combination of heat, alcohol and a crowd is what sends people to the medic tent.
- Bring a charged phone and a credit card; lockers are limited and tables require a card.
- Do not buy day-of tickets from resellers; the official site is cheaper and cannot be faked.
