Daylight Beach Club: Mandalay Bay's south-Strip party

Daylight Beach Club: Mandalay Bay's south-Strip party

Daylight Beach Club is the south Strip's dayclub, tucked beside the Mandalay Bay Beach complex with a big central pool, a hip-hop-heavy lineup and a crowd that skews slightly older and more relaxed than Wet Republic. This guide explains the costs, the rules and when to go.

The resort and the setting

Daylight Beach Club is at Mandalay Bay on the far south end of the Strip, occupying its own gated section beside the resort's famous eleven-acre beach complex. The venue is around 50,000 square feet: one very large central pool with a raised DJ stage, tiered daybeds around the water, a bar along the back and rows of cabanas, plus a set of larger "grand" cabanas and bungalows. It is a wide, open, sun-heavy layout with the Mandalay Bay towers behind it, and it feels more like a beach party than a nightclub-in-daylight.

Mandalay Bay Beach, with its wave pool, lazy river and sand, is a separate complex for hotel guests and is free with a room at Mandalay Bay, Delano or Four Seasons. A room key does not admit you to Daylight; it is ticketed. See our Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Excalibur guide for the resort.

Vibe and crowd

Daylight is the most relaxed of the major Strip dayclubs and the one with the most hip-hop in its DNA. The crowd skews a little older and more diverse than Wet Republic or Encore Beach Club, with plenty of groups in their late twenties and thirties, and the wide deck means general admission does not feel like a crush except on headliner Saturdays. It is a party, but you can find a chair. Eclipse, the evening pool party held on select nights in the warmer months, brings a nightclub crowd back to the same space after dark.

Music

Hip-hop, R&B and open-format DJs are the core, with touring rappers and live performers appearing regularly, and dance-music names on some weekends. Daylight has also hosted concert-style performances by major artists on its stage. The calendar is posted on the venue site; if you are choosing between Daylight and the EDM-heavy clubs, the music is the main reason.

Typical cover, tables and cabanas

As of 2026, and check the official site: general admission typically runs $20 to $60-plus, with special-guest and performer days at the top of the range and women often free or reduced on guest lists before a cutoff. Daybeds start from a few hundred dollars on weekdays and about $750 to $1,500 minimum on weekends; cabanas roughly $1,500 to $4,000-plus; bungalows and grand cabanas more. Add tax, a service charge of about 20 percent and a tip. Daylight is generally the best-value big dayclub on the Strip for a group, and the most likely to have availability on a busy weekend.

Dress code and age

21 and over with a valid government photo ID. Swimwear and resort casual: no jerseys, baggy or below-the-knee shorts, cut-offs or work boots; sandals or flip-flops required. Bags are searched, outside food and drink are not permitted. The door is relaxed by Strip standards but applies the basics.

Best days and timing

Open several days a week in pool season, roughly 11 am to 6 pm, from around March to October, with Eclipse night parties in the warmer months. Saturday is the peak; Sunday is a strong day, especially on holiday weekends; Friday is solid; weekdays are quiet enough to enjoy the pool. Arrive by noon on weekends. The south-Strip location matters: Mandalay Bay is a long way from center Strip, so plan the evening at Mandalay Bay, Luxor or Park MGM, or budget a rideshare. Michelob ULTRA Arena and Allegiant Stadium are close, which makes Daylight a natural pre-game or post-game stop.

How to book

Tickets, daybeds and cabanas are sold on the Daylight site; table bookings connect you to a host who confirms the minimum. Mandalay Bay, Delano and Four Seasons guests can book through the concierge. Promoters run guest lists (never pay for one) and VIP hosts sell tables; confirm the all-in figure. The system is the same as for nightclubs, covered in our tickets and guest lists guide.

Insider tips and what to avoid

  • Families staying at Mandalay Bay: the beach complex is on the other side of a fence and you will hear Daylight but not see it; the beach is still excellent, see our family pools guide.
  • Bring shade money in midsummer; the deck is wide open and the sun is relentless.
  • Check Eclipse dates if you want a night pool party without the full nightclub price.
  • Compare Daylight to Wet Republic nearby: same end of the Strip, very different energy and music.
  • Luxor and Excalibur guests can walk or take the free tram to Mandalay Bay and buy a Daylight ticket, which is the easiest dayclub access from the budget south-Strip hotels.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is Daylight Beach Club?

As of 2026, general admission is typically $20 to $60-plus depending on the day and performer, often free or reduced for women on guest lists. Daybeds and cabanas are minimum spends from a few hundred dollars midweek to a few thousand on weekends. Check the official site.

Do Mandalay Bay guests get into Daylight free?

No. Daylight is a separate ticketed dayclub. Mandalay Bay, Delano and Four Seasons guests use Mandalay Bay Beach free and pay for Daylight like anyone else.

What music does Daylight play?

Mostly hip-hop, R&B and open-format, with live performers and some dance-music weekends. It is the most hip-hop-focused of the big Strip dayclubs.

What is the Daylight dress code?

Swimwear and resort casual with sandals; no jerseys, baggy or long shorts, cut-offs. 21 and over with government photo ID.

What is Eclipse at Daylight?

An evening pool party held on select nights during the warmer months in the same venue, effectively an open-air night club with the pool open.

Is Daylight cheaper than the other dayclubs?

Usually. Covers and table minimums tend to sit below Encore Beach Club, Wet Republic and Marquee for comparable days, and availability is better.

Can Luxor or Excalibur guests use Daylight?

Anyone 21 and over with a ticket can. Luxor and Excalibur are linked to Mandalay Bay by a free tram, which makes Daylight the easiest dayclub for those hotels.
