Where it sits and who should book it
Delano is the gold-glass tower on the north side of the Mandalay Bay complex at the far south end of the Strip. It has its own driveway, its own lobby and no casino of its own; you reach the Mandalay Bay slot floor, the convention centre, the Shark Reef aquarium and Michelob Ultra Arena through a short indoor corridor. The free tram to Luxor and Excalibur leaves from Mandalay Bay, and everything else on the Strip is a rideshare or a long walk north.
It suits people who want a full resort but not the resort noise: convention attendees who need to be next to Mandalay Bay, couples who prefer a quiet corridor, anyone who likes a large suite for a mid-range price, and visitors who plan to see the south end and treat the rest of the Strip as day trips. Suites: every room is one, so choose by view
Delano is all-suite. The base category is roughly 725 square feet with a separate living area, a sofa, a desk, a wet bar and a bathroom with a soaking tub and a walk-in shower. Because there is no standard king room, the entry price already buys a layout that would be an upgrade at most Strip hotels. Décor is neutral, white and grey, and has aged well; check the official site for any refurbishment programme in progress.
The choice is mostly about which way you face. Strip-view suites look north over Luxor toward the rest of the Strip and are the ones to ask for on a higher floor. Mountain- and airport-facing suites are cheaper and quieter but can show you runway lights all night. Above the base suite are corner suites and one- and two-bedroom layouts that add a dining table and, higher up, sweeping views. If a hotel offers a discounted upgrade at check-in, corner suites on a high floor are the ones worth paying for.
Resort fee and parking at Delano
Delano charges the same mid-Strip resort fee as Mandalay Bay, roughly $40 to $55 plus tax per night as of 2026; confirm the exact figure on the official site before booking. It bundles Wi-Fi, fitness centre access and the usual list of small items. Self-parking uses the Mandalay Bay garages and runs roughly $18 to $30 a night under MGM's current pricing, with valet higher; MGM Rewards Pearl status and above has generally waived self-parking, which is worth a free sign-up if you are driving.

Pool: the beach next door, plus a quiet option
Delano guests use Mandalay Bay Beach, which is the reason many people book here at all: a sand beach, the wave pool, a lazy river, a large main pool and rows of cabanas and daybeds. It is one of the biggest pool complexes on the Strip and gets busy on summer weekends, with concerts and day parties on some dates; check the resort calendar if you want a calm afternoon.
Delano also has its own smaller, quieter pool deck for its guests, which is the better choice for reading and shade and is rarely crowded. Expect the main beach to open from roughly March to October with reduced hours in the shoulder months. Towels are provided and Delano guests do not pay extra to use the beach. Bathhouse spa and the gym
Bathhouse is Delano's own spa, a dark slate-and-water space with a redwood sauna, steam room, hot and cold plunge pools and a small menu of massages and facials. It is smaller and more restrained than the Mandalay Bay spa across the complex, and that is its appeal; it rarely feels crowded. Day access for hotel guests is usually available for a fee, with treatment bookings including access; prices and hours change, so check the current spa page.
The fitness centre is next to the spa and is adequate rather than lavish: cardio machines, free weights and a stretching area. Delano guests can also use the larger Mandalay Bay fitness centre, which is included under the resort fee. If gym quality is a priority, the Mandalay Bay room is the one to use. Eating and drinking without leaving the tower
The top of the tower is the draw. Rivea, an Alain Ducasse-branded French-Italian restaurant, and the adjoining Skyfall Lounge occupy the 64th floor with views up the whole Strip; the lounge is one of the better sunset drinks in the city and does not need a dinner reservation. Both have been operating for years but restaurant line-ups change, so confirm on the official site before planning an evening around them.
Downstairs, Della's Kitchen handles breakfast and lunch in the lobby area, and the lobby bar covers coffee and cocktails. Everything else is a corridor walk into Mandalay Bay, which has one of the deeper restaurant collections on the south Strip, from steakhouses to casual counters and a large food court. No casino floor, and what check-in is like
There is no gaming at Delano, which changes the atmosphere entirely: no slot noise in the lobby, no cigarette smoke drifting into the elevator bank, no walk across a casino to reach your room. Guests who want to gamble walk to Mandalay Bay in a couple of minutes. The lobby is small and calm, and the check-in queue is rarely long except on Friday afternoons and during big Mandalay Bay conventions.
Standard check-in is mid-afternoon and checkout is late morning. Early check-in is offered when a suite is ready, sometimes for a fee, and late checkout is often available on request for a fee or free with MGM Rewards status. Because the tower is smaller than Mandalay Bay, suites turn over faster and early arrivals do reasonably well. Online check-in through the MGM app with a digital key skips the desk entirely.
MGM Rewards at a non-casino hotel
Delano is an MGM Resorts property, so stays earn MGM Rewards tier credits and points just like the other MGM hotels. The relevant perks are practical ones: Pearl has historically waived self-parking, Gold and above has waived the resort fee, and higher tiers unlock priority check-in lines, later checkout and room-rate discounts. Tier names and benefits are revised periodically, so check the current programme before counting on any of them.
Because there is no casino on site, you will not earn gambling points at Delano, but play at Mandalay Bay next door counts and offers tied to your account can be applied to Delano rooms. Verdict, price and the trade-offs
- Pros: large suites at a mid-range price; no casino floor to cross; full access to Mandalay Bay Beach plus a quiet private pool; Bathhouse spa; the 64th-floor lounge; direct connection to the convention centre.
- Cons: far south end, so most of the Strip is a ride away; resort fee and paid parking apply in full; limited dining inside the tower itself; airport-side suites see runway lights and some aircraft noise.
Rates as of 2026 have run roughly $130 to $220 midweek and $250 to $450 on weekends before the resort fee, with sharp spikes during large Mandalay Bay conventions and fight weekends. That puts a base suite near the cost of a standard room at the centre-Strip resorts.
