What a couples suite actually includes
Every major Las Vegas resort spa has at least one couples suite, and the good ones are small private spas of their own: two treatment tables, a private bathroom, often a soaking tub for two, a steam shower or a fireplace, and a lounge area where a light meal or champagne can be served. A typical booking is a side-by-side massage of 50 to 80 minutes, with the suite available for a period before and after for a bath or a scrub. The therapists work in sync so you finish together.
As of 2026, expect roughly $500 to $800 for two for a basic side-by-side massage in a suite and $900 to $1,500-plus for a signature couples ritual with a bath, scrub, massage and food. Automatic gratuity of 18 to 20 percent is added. Check the official spa page for the current menu.
The spas that do it best
Sahra at the Cosmopolitan has the most romantic setup on the Strip: a private hammam-style couples suite and a treatment ritual built around shared bathing. The Spa at Aria has couples suites with soaking tubs and its ganbanyoku stone beds, and the CityCenter location makes dinner logistics easy. The Wynn and Encore spas offer the most polished treatment experience and immaculate couples rooms. Spa Bellagio and Qua at Caesars have classic couples suites with tubs and long menus. Awana at Resorts World and the Fontainebleau spa have modern suites in the newest facilities.
Our best resort spas guide describes each facility; the choice for couples usually comes down to whether you want the shared bathing ritual, in which case Sahra, or the best massage, in which case Wynn or Encore.
Thermal circuits together: check the layout
A common disappointment is booking a spa for a couples day and discovering that the wet areas are split by gender. Qua at Caesars, Spa Bellagio and several others have separate men's and women's thermal areas; you meet only in the couples suite or a co-ed lounge. Awana at Resorts World, Canyon Ranch at The Venetian, Aria and Fontainebleau have co-ed thermal zones where swimsuits are required and couples can move through the circuit together.
If sharing the whole afternoon matters, pick a co-ed spa or book a suite with its own tub. Call and ask the layout question directly; menus rarely spell it out.
Occasions and how to time them
Anniversaries, honeymoons, proposals and wedding days are the bulk of couples spa bookings, and the spas are practiced at them. For a wedding day, book the spa the day before rather than the morning of; hair and makeup timing is tight enough already, as our weddings hub explains. For a honeymoon, the spa afternoon works best on day two, after the travel fatigue and before the trip finds its rhythm; see honeymoon and romantic stays.
Proposals in the suite are a thing; the spa concierge will arrange flowers, champagne and timing if you tell them, and most ask for a few days' notice. Our romantic things to do guide covers the rest of the evening.
Building the perfect spa afternoon for two
- Arrive 60 to 90 minutes early and use the thermal areas or the suite tub first, so the massage lands on warm muscles.
- Add one shared element, a scrub or a bath, rather than two separate treatments; the shared part is what people remember.
- Skip the champagne before the massage; save it for the lounge afterward.
- Book the last slots of the afternoon, then walk straight to an early dinner nearby. Our rooftop and view restaurants pair well.
- Leave the evening open. A show right after a two-hour ritual is a waste of both.
Value alternatives
The full suite package is not the only romantic option. Two facility day passes to a co-ed thermal spa, roughly $120 to $200 for the pair as of 2026, buy an afternoon moving through pools and saunas together and cost a fraction of a suite. Side-by-side massages in a standard couples room rather than a signature suite save several hundred dollars. And the Korean-style spas in the Chinatown area, though far from luxurious, have co-ed relaxation areas and scrubs at very low prices for a couple that cares more about the time than the marble.
Our day pass guide covers access if you are not staying at the resort, and treatments explains the individual options.
Booking, etiquette and small print
Couples suites are the scarcest inventory in every spa; book a week or more ahead for weekends and further for holidays, Valentine's week and big wedding weekends. Specify therapist gender preferences at booking if you have them. Most spas let you choose different pressures and treatment styles for each person within the same suite time. Cancellation windows are usually 24 to 48 hours with full charges after that, and gratuity is added automatically.
Minimum age is 18 at essentially every resort spa, and the suites are for two adults. Robes, sandals and lockers are provided; bring swimsuits for co-ed thermal areas and leave phones in the locker, as the suites and lounges are phone-free.
