Luxor sits on the south Strip between Excalibur and Mandalay Bay, and the three resorts are linked by a free tram and covered walkways, so you can stay or eat at any of them and walk over. For a variety show, the ideal seat sees faces and full-stage choreography equally, which puts the sweet spot at the centre of the house, roughly rows eight to twenty. Close-up magic and comedy play better nearer the front; dance and aerial acts read better from mid-house, so the middle is the compromise.
The side sections lose little because the stage is a standard picture frame, and the rear of the orchestra is entirely usable. If a mezzanine or balcony is open for your date, the front rows there are often the best value in the building. Avoid the extreme front rows: you will crane at the aerial rigging and are the first pick for volunteers.

As of 2026, tickets run roughly $60–$140 before fees, depending on the cast and the night; check the Luxor box office or the official site for current prices. Right for whom, and what else to consider
The show suits families, fans of the series, first-time visitors who want a sampler of Strip-style acts, and groups with wildly different tastes. It is not for anyone who wants depth in a single discipline, anyone put off by television gloss, or a couple looking for an intimate or artistic night. If the cast for your date looks weak, spend the money elsewhere.

America's Got Talent Live is a competent, family-safe variety show whose value depends almost entirely on who is on the bill. On a good night it is a bargain sampler of acts you would pay more to see individually; on a thin night it is television without the editing. Check the cast, buy at the booth, sit mid-house, and go in expecting a revue rather than a revelation.
