Michael Jackson ONE is a Cirque du Soleil show built around Michael Jackson's music rather than around a circus concept. Four misfit characters are drawn into a world shaped by his songs, and the show moves through some two dozen tracks — Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Thriller, Man in the Mirror among them — with dancers reproducing the original choreography, aerialists and acrobats layered on top and MJ's remastered vocals running throughout. It opened at Mandalay Bay in 2013 in partnership with the Jackson estate and has been one of the Strip's steadiest sellers since.
Fans get exactly what they hope for. Non-fans still get a very good Cirque show with a great sound system and a lot of energy. It is the Cirque production that plays most like a concert, and the audience reacts like one — people sing, clap and stand for the finale.
The theatre and its sound system
The Michael Jackson ONE Theatre seats about 1,800 at Mandalay Bay, with a wide stage and a proscenium arch that pushes the action into the house via runways and aerial rigging. The distinctive feature is the audio: there are speakers in the back of every seat, so the mix is close and detailed wherever you sit and the bass is physical. It is worth noting for anyone sensitive to volume — it is the loudest Cirque show by design.
Mandalay Bay is at the far south end of the Strip. It connects to Luxor and Excalibur by a free tram and is a long way from anything north of MGM Grand, so plan the evening around the south Strip; see transportation for the tram and rideshare options.
Tickets and prices
As of 2026, the cheapest sections run roughly $80–$110, mid-tier $120–$160, and the best centre seats $170–$220, before fees. Buy through Mandalay Bay, MGM Resorts ticketing or Cirque's official site. It is a frequent partner in Cirque two-show bundles, and it appears at the same-day discount booths fairly often, usually the upper sections. Showtimes are typically 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm on five nights a week; confirm dark nights for your dates. Run time is around 90 minutes with no intermission.

Seating notes
The stage is wide and the choreography is often full-company, so the centre sections are the ones to have; from the far sides you lose the symmetry of the dance numbers. Mid-house centre in the lower level is the ideal, and the first rows of the upper level are the value pick. The per-seat speakers mean you gain nothing sonically by sitting closer. Front rows get dancers on the runway a few feet away, which fans love, but you miss the aerial acts overhead.
The Thriller sequence and the finale use effects that sweep across the whole house, so any centre seat is in the middle of it.
Who it suits
Anyone who grew up with these songs, obviously. But also groups with mixed tastes: a family with a grandparent who wants a "real show" and a teenager who wants a beat can both leave happy. Children from five are admitted with their own ticket, and the show is family-appropriate throughout. It is the easiest Cirque show to recommend when you do not know the group well.

Practical tips
- Arrive early. The theatre is at the back of Mandalay Bay past the casino floor; allow 15 minutes from the Strip entrance and more from the tram.
- Bring earplugs for sensitive ears, especially for children. The volume is high.
- Combine with the south Strip. Mandalay Bay and Luxor have a good range of restaurants and bars for before or after; see dining.
- Staying at Mandalay Bay, Delano or Luxor removes the travel problem entirely; see hotels.
- Photography is not permitted during the show.
