Picking an adults-oriented resort
Where you stay sets the tone. The Cosmopolitan, Wynn and Encore, Aria, Resorts World and Fontainebleau are the resorts most often chosen by adults traveling without children: sleek rooms, serious restaurants, cocktail bars and pools with adult-only sections. Caesars Palace and the Venetian offer more classic grandeur with the same adult energy. Downtown, the boutique-style hotels near Fremont East give a cheaper, more local feel.
Look for three things: an adults-only pool or a pool that does not host family crowds, a real cocktail bar on the property, and walking distance to the nightlife you want. Resort fees are $35–$55 per night as of 2026 and rates jump on Friday and Saturday, so a Thursday-to-Sunday stay often costs less than a Friday-to-Monday one for the same number of nights. Dayclubs and adult pools
From roughly March to October, the dayclubs are the daytime heart of adult Las Vegas. Encore Beach Club, Marquee Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan, Wet Republic at MGM Grand, Ayu at Resorts World and Daylight at Mandalay Bay run DJ sets from late morning, with general admission typically $20–$75 and daybeds or cabanas from a few hundred to several thousand dollars in minimum spend, as of 2026. Women often enter free or cheaper on guest lists.
If you want sun without the bass, most resorts run a quieter adults-only pool alongside the main one: Bare at the Mirage site, Venus at Caesars and the Wynn's European pool are the well-known examples. Nightclubs, and how to get in without being fleeced
The big clubs are Omnia and XS, Hakkasan, Zouk, Marquee, LIV and Drai's, each hosting resident DJs several nights a week. Entry works three ways: a free or cheap guest list that gets you in the line early, a presale ticket that guarantees entry, or a table with bottle service, where the minimum spend for a group can run from about $1,000 to well over $5,000 as of 2026 depending on the night and the DJ.
Dress codes are enforced: collared shirts or fashionable tops, no shorts, athletic wear, sandals or hats for men. Bring ID. Lines at midnight are brutal on Fridays and Saturdays; arriving at 10:30pm or going on a Thursday, Sunday or Monday industry night is far easier. Cocktail bars, speakeasies and lounges
The best adult evenings in Las Vegas often skip the clubs entirely. The Chandelier at the Cosmopolitan is a three-story bar inside a curtain of crystals; Ghost Donkey behind Block 16 is a hidden mezcal bar; the Golden Tiki in Chinatown is a genuine tiki den with a local crowd; Herbs & Rye west of the Strip is a nationally ranked cocktail bar with a late happy hour; Velveteen Rabbit in the Arts District is where bartenders go on their night off. Rooftop and view bars such as the SkyBar and the lounges at the top of the Strat and Palms give you the city lit up below.
Downtown's Fremont East district has a run of proper bars within a few blocks, cheaper than the Strip and much less scripted. Cocktails at Strip resorts run $18–$28 as of 2026; off-Strip and Downtown you can halve that. Happy hours are common between 3pm and 6pm and at some places late at night.
Adult shows and late-night entertainment
Las Vegas has a whole category of shows that exist nowhere else in this concentration. Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity has closed, but the adult-oriented and 18-plus production shows continue: topless revues in the tradition of Jubilee, male revues like Thunder from Down Under and the Chippendales, adult comedy and burlesque nights, and late-night magic and variety. Absinthe at Caesars Palace is the standout, an acrobatic vaudeville show in a tent with a foul-mouthed host that consistently ranks as the funniest thing on the Strip.
Comedy clubs and headline comedians play most nights, and the residencies at Sphere, Park MGM and Resorts World are big adult nights out. Romantic dinners and couples' escapes
For a couple, Las Vegas delivers a level of dining and spa indulgence that is hard to match. The classic romantic tables are the Eiffel Tower Restaurant with a view of the fountains, Lago at Bellagio for the same view at lower prices, and the tasting rooms at Wynn and Encore. Steakhouses such as SW at Wynn, Bazaar Meat at the Sahara and CUT at the Venetian are date-night institutions. Budget $150–$400 per person with wine at the top end, far less at the excellent mid-range rooms in the dining guide.
Every major resort has a spa; the Wynn, Encore, Aria and Bellagio spas are the most complete, with day passes typically $50–$100 as of 2026 and treatments on top. Couples' packages and hydrotherapy circuits are common. For a quieter romantic day, drive to Red Rock Canyon for sunset or book a helicopter flight over the Strip at night.
Gambling for grown-ups
If you want to play, the Strip runs the full spectrum from $15 blackjack at the older casinos to high-limit rooms at Wynn, Aria, Bellagio and Caesars. Sportsbooks are a destination in themselves: the Circa sportsbook Downtown is a three-story stadium, and the Westgate SuperBook and the Caesars and BetMGM books on the Strip host big-game weekends. Poker rooms at Bellagio, Wynn, Aria and the Venetian run around the clock.
Learn the basics before sitting down at a table, sign up for the resort loyalty program to earn comps, tip the dealers and servers, and set a firm limit. Free drinks come with play; the cocktail server expects $1–$2 per drink. Casino ATMs charge steep surcharges, so bring cash from outside.
Planning the adult trip
Three nights is ideal for most adult visits. Pace it with one big night out, one pool or spa day, one serious dinner and one morning where nothing is planned. Sunday and Monday nights are calmer and cheaper than Friday and Saturday, and the clubs have industry nights that are less crowded. Book dayclub tables, nightclub tables, top restaurants and headline shows two to six weeks ahead for weekends.
