The location and the traveller it fits
Planet Hollywood sits on the east side of the Strip between Paris and the Cosmopolitan, directly opposite the Aria and Crystals corner, with the Miracle Mile Shops wrapped around its base. Pedestrian bridges lead to the Cosmopolitan and across to Aria and Bellagio, and Paris and Horseshoe are a few minutes north on the same side. It is about as central as a mid-priced hotel gets; Caesars Palace, the Bellagio fountains and the Cosmopolitan's restaurants are all inside a fifteen-minute walk.
It suits people who want the middle of the Strip without a luxury price, show-goers attending a residency in the theater downstairs, shoppers, and Caesars Rewards members who prefer a slightly younger crowd than Paris. Ultra Hip and Ultra Resort rooms, and which to book
Planet Hollywood's rooms come in two broad families. Ultra Hip rooms are the renovated modern category: dark wood, a large flat-screen, a good bed, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a compact but tidy layout. They are the ones to book. Ultra Resort rooms are the older stock in the original tower configuration, some updated and some showing their age; renovation phases roll through periodically, so check the official site for what is currently described as refreshed and avoid the cheapest unlabelled category if you can.
Views are the second lever. Strip-view rooms on the higher floors of the west face look across at Aria, Bellagio and the Cosmopolitan and are worth the small premium; the view from a high-floor Ultra Hip Strip-view room is one of the better cheap views on the Strip. East-facing rooms look toward the mountains and are quieter. Above the standard rooms are Ultra Hip suites and the larger Panorama and Apex suites, which are a good buy when upgrade offers appear at check-in.
Resort fee and parking, with the hedges
Planet Hollywood charges a mid-Strip resort fee, roughly $40 to $55 plus tax per night as of 2026; confirm the exact amount on the official site. It covers Wi-Fi and fitness centre access. Self-parking is in the garage behind the Miracle Mile Shops and runs roughly $18 to $30 a night under Caesars' current policy, valet higher; Caesars Rewards Platinum and above has generally included self-parking.
Finding the garage the first time is confusing: the entrance is off Harmon Avenue behind the mall, not from the Boulevard, and the walk from the garage to the hotel elevators passes through the shops. The pool
The Planet Hollywood pool is on a rooftop deck several floors up: a main pool with a shallow lounging shelf, a second pool, hot tubs, a bar, a good number of loungers and rentable cabanas and daybeds with a view over the Strip toward Aria. It is a decent mid-sized pool with a lively but not club-like atmosphere, busy on summer weekends and fairly calm midweek. Shade is limited; book a daybed if you burn easily.
Season runs roughly March to October with reduced hours at the edges. Caesars' shared-pool arrangements have at times allowed Planet Hollywood guests to use pools at neighbouring Caesars properties, and vice versa, with rules that change each season; ask at check-in. Fitness centre and spa
The spa at Planet Hollywood is a compact facility with a short treatment menu, steam rooms, saunas and a small relaxation area, usually operating under a third-party spa brand; the operator and menu have changed over the years, so check the current spa page. It is fine for a massage before a show and is priced below the flagship spas, but not a reason to book the hotel.
The fitness centre is included in the resort fee and is reasonably equipped: cardio machines, cable stations, free weights and a small stretching area. It is busy early on weekday mornings and quiet after ten. Eating in and around the building
Planet Hollywood's own restaurants are casual-leaning and solid. Gordon Ramsay Burger is the busiest, with a queue most evenings and a burger that mostly earns it. Strip House is the sit-down steakhouse, dark and old-school. Cafe Hollywood handles all-day dining and late-night, and Earl of Sandwich by the casino floor is the reliable cheap lunch. Restaurant line-ups shift, so confirm on the official site before setting out.
The larger menu is in the Miracle Mile Shops wrapped around the hotel: dozens of chain and independent restaurants, coffee, a food-court-style cluster and several bars, all reachable without going outside. Beyond that, the Cosmopolitan next door has one of the best restaurant collections on the Strip, and Paris's bistros are five minutes north. Most Planet Hollywood guests eat one meal on site and the rest within a bridge or a walk.
Casino, theater crowds and the desk
The casino is medium-sized and one of the more contemporary-looking floors on the centre Strip, with a central bar, moderate table minimums and a dense slot floor. It is loud and can be smoky, and the crowd skews younger than at Paris or Caesars. The main check-in lobby is at the back of the casino, so arriving guests from the Boulevard cross the whole floor with their bags; use the Harmon-side entrance from the garage if you drove.
Bakkt Theater, the residency venue, opens onto the casino level, and on show nights the floor and elevators are busy for an hour before and after. Check-in is mid-afternoon and checkout late morning; the Caesars app offers mobile check-in and digital keys, and Caesars Rewards Diamond and above has a shorter line. Early check-in is offered when rooms are ready, sometimes for a fee; late checkout is usually available for a fee or included with higher status. Ask for an Ultra Hip room on a high floor if your booking did not specify.
Caesars Rewards and the residency angle
Planet Hollywood is a Caesars Entertainment property, so stays earn Caesars Rewards tier credits and Reward Credits. The perks that matter are practical: Platinum has generally included self-parking, Diamond and above has waived the resort fee and given a shorter check-in line and later checkout, and higher tiers add room discounts and shared-pool access. Tier names and thresholds change; check the current programme.
There is a specific angle here: Caesars Rewards members often get presale access and discounted seats for Bakkt Theater residencies, and offers tied to the account frequently bundle a room and show tickets. Pros and cons, prices and our verdict
- Pros: very central on the Strip; renovated Ultra Hip rooms at mid-range prices; good Strip-view rooms on high floors; the Miracle Mile Shops for food and shopping without going outside; Bakkt Theater residencies downstairs; Caesars Rewards perks.
- Cons: older Ultra Resort rooms are inconsistent; the lobby is a long walk across a loud casino; confusing garage; mid-sized pool with little shade; resort fee and paid parking; crowded on show nights.
Rates as of 2026 have run roughly $80 to $160 midweek and $180 to $380 on weekends before the resort fee, with Strip-view Ultra Hip rooms at a modest premium and jumps during major conventions and fight weekends.
